Bent Pin philosophy said most literature is not about literature. Though literature has form and genre, it is not about form and genre. Literature is an expression, a reaction, a presentation of ideas . Its content has implications beyond the label literature or any of the genre or literary labels often used to segregate works that might otherwise speak to each other. Therefore in Bent Pin, short poetry and prose will most often be seen by twos or even by threes, without regard to genre. The pairings are by a kinship of some sort, often topical, metaphoric, thematic, though sometimes stylistic or technical. The combinations may be complementary or oppositional. They might provide point and counterpoint or variations on a theme.
